Past, Present & Future
I started in Kerries getting a puppy from the Elbrley line. I was
encouraged to take Clover to obedience classes and we eventually
got a CD title. From this I learned the value of good temperament
and how Kerries like to work in obedience.
I next purchased a "show prospect." Ch. Elbrley's Impresario
CD (Rio) was my first show dog and is still my companion 14 1/2
years later. Rio sired a litter out of a foreign bred bitch, Am
Ch. Liathgorm's Byline (Inga). Ch. Elbrley's Lola Lughnasa ROM was
out of this litter and she became my foundation bitch. Bred to Can./Am.
Ch. Gamgee's Samwise CDX and Can./Am. Ch. Heritage Prince Pippin,
Lola became the dam of six Champions.
Among them have been group and specialty winning dogs. Ch. Lughnasa's
Kerrisel Carling, after an outstanding show career, became the foundation
bitch for Reita and Craig Nicholson's Kerrisel Kerries. Her littermate
Ch Lughnasa's Demon Diva (DD) produced a litter by Can./Am. Ch.
Heritage Sweeney Todd, that included Ch Lughnasa's Stargazer, winner
of the USKBTC Futurity 2000 and Ch Lughnasa's Jump N Jive. DD has
since produced two litters for Leigh and Cynthia Fellowes-White's
Twilite Kerries.
Most recently Ch Lughnasa's Tess Trueheart bred to Can./Am. Ch.
Aisling's Overdrive produced an outstanding young male Lughnasa's
Deacon Demon. He is owned by Edie Brown, Kinvarra Kerries and Susan
Dunivant, Elf Loch Kerries. Deacon recently sired his first litter.
Breeding Kerries has been a source of great pleasure and has allowed
me to know and learn from many outstanding friends.
