Schaefer Auction Items to Benefit Health & Genetics

Dick Schaefer has generously donated two exceptional pieces in Maryanne Schaefer’s name to be auctioned at the ’05 Traveling Specialty, May 8 in Trenton, New Jersey.

Taking a page from our Texas colleagues, we will accept sealed bids, mailed to Tom Rogers, for those unable to attend the Specialty. When the item is auctioned and the highest bidder determined the envelope bids will be opened, but the high sealed bid will not be revealed. Should the sealed bid exceed the highest live auction bid, the high bidder present will be given one chance to increase his bid. If the bid is above the sealed bid, that bid is the winner. If not, the sealed bid is the winner.

The initial items offered by Dick Schaefer are the D. E. Ashdown Kerry head study depicted in Blueprints, the Charitable Funds Brochure and on our website. This piece is initialed and dated 7-6-89 by the artist. It is a beautiful piece with wonderful detail.

A rare Dogs of Ireland whiskey decanter, depicting all of the Irish breeds is the second item offered. This piece is also depicted on the USKBTC website and in Blueprints. (This item has been seen once on Ebay and the price was very high. It is unusual to see a decanter of this fine quality.

Please follow the links above to view these wonderful Kerry items, and bid generously to support the USKBTC Health and Genetics projects.

Sealed Bids Deadline: All bids must be received by May 1.

Please place your name, address, email and telephone number on a paper with the words “Schaefer Memorial.” Be sure to state your bid for the item. If the sealed bid is the winner, you will be notified for shipping information and payment.
