PEARL HAS BEEN ADOPTED and will be going to her new home sometime in May.

Pearl & Tucker UPDATE 3/5/09

See Pearl & Tucker after being groomed. After Grooming

They are doing great and trying to figure out what to do with toys. They still need to gain a bit of weight before they can go to new homes.

See updated picture of Pearl.

Pearl has gained 5 pounds and is doing better keeping her crate clean over night. She likes to watch the birds in the bushes and the cats on the edge of the woods. She is very friendly and knows all about cookies and will take them gently from your hand. She likes to give Kerry hugs.

See Tucker's new look.Tucker

Tucker has only gained 2 pounds, and he eats every scrap of food. He is very good at keeping his crate clean over night. He likes the dog treats, but is not ready to take it from your hand. He is very friendly, but not very confident and just wants to know where you are. He stays close behind and walks well on a leash.

Read the original description of Pearl & Tucker when they first were taken into USKBTC Rescue.

Pearl age 5 and Tucker age 4, were surrendered by their owner to the USKBTC February 5th, 2009, near Lebanon Missouri.

They are currently being treated for intestinal parasites and are significantly under weight. We are hoping to place them as a pair, since they have been together for the past two years. We have not begun temperament evaluations, but they were very well behaved during the long process of soaking mud from their coats, cutting matted hair on their bodies, then the bath, 'rescue' trim and ear cleaning. All took place in the first three days of their surrender.

Please click on the dog's name below to see a picture of the dog and the condition he/she was in when we took them into USKBTC Rescue.

I will send new pictures the next time we have a sunny day to take outdoor pictures.
